Some of you may remember we did an interview with The BAPartists a while ago regarding an upcoming indie horror called The Taking. Well Horror Chronicles has received word that a new trailer is online and after watching it i can safely say this movie looks impressive indeed. Jump in for more info, plus a look at the new trailer!
Sam (Paul Burke) is an innocent guy just going about his own business when he is inadvertently drawn into a dark and seedy plot to frame him for the murder of an old man. The odds look grim for poor Sam and obviously not wanting to go to jail he attempts to turn the tide against his enemy. This starts a downward spiral of moral decay and paranoia as Sam no longer knows who to trust and in the end he'll find himself becoming his own worse enemy.
Those who love retro styled sci-fi are in for a treat this January as Manborg shoots in on DVD.
"Manborg is set in the future where Nazi demons led by the nefarious Count Draculon and his minions rise from the bowels of Hell and take over the planet. A rag tag group of rebels fight back but their rebellion is effectively crushed, leaving nothing but scorched earth on which the Hellions plan to build their new world. After a personal confrontation with the Count, a soldier is blasted into oblivion only to awake in the dark future to find most of his body replaced with cybernetic enhancements. A mysterious inventor has turned his bloodied remains into Manborg, cyborg of destruction."
Those who've been paying attention to the site lately are bound to have noticed that not many updates have been coming forth. Well i've had more than a few real life issues to deal with (and those are always fun) but i should be back to reviews sooner rather than later. Again apologies about the absence.

Had a village idiot managed to hold his quill right end up for long enough to pen this then, torn with shame at creating such an abomination, he would have no choice but to make penance by flagellating himself with a bundle of sharpened turnips for all eternity.
Martin is a deranged loner who works as a patron in an urban car park. He has wild fantasies of constructing a 12 person centipede, much in the fashion of his idol Dr. Heiter. What envelopes as the movie progresses is a very disturbing and twisted look in the sickness of one man's heart as he collects victims towards achieving his goal.
The Human Centipede follows two American girls who're having a holiday in Germany. Just as they're going into town to have a fun night out disaster strikes and their car breaks down - out in the middle of nowhere. Looking for help they end up visiting a remote home where a renowned surgeon named Dr. Heiter (Dieter Laser), resides. Well, it turns out that the old Dr. is not quite as hospitable as the girls had hoped and indeed he plans to make them a part of his newest creation - the human centipede. Will the girls make it through in one piece?
